Acument Global Technologies – Camcar LLC was awarded a government grant and tax benefits for a $2.6 million heat-treatment expansion of its fastener facility in Decorah, IA.
As part of the expansion, Acument plans to add on to add a heat-treatment furnace, communications director Timothy Weir told FastenerNews.com.
“It will be used to handle the plant”s heat treatment for Elco construction fasteners manufactured there,” Weir told FIN.
Acument also plans to purchase a generator to convert waste heat into electricity.
