ASTM Seeks Cavanaugh Award Nominations

ASTM International is seeking nominations for the annual William T. Cavanaugh Memorial Award, which recognizes extraordinary contributions national and international voluntary standards. Established in 1987, the award honors Cavanaugh, who was CEO of ASTM from 1970 until 1985.
Nomination packages should include relevant information about the candidate”s professional background; outstanding contributions made within ASTM as well as other standards organizations or professional societies; and offices held in organizations; accomplishments advancing the global standards community, including standards interaction with governments, industry, or academia; past honors, citations and awards that relate to voluntary standards. Nominees for the Cavanaugh Memorial Award may or may not be ASTM members.
