Nylok received GM approval for its Precote 85 for GM-6175M and GM-6194M specifications. Nylok general manager Nilo Urbani said with the approval Nylok “can now be specified for GM projects requiring more rigorous performance requirements in North America and around the world with GM specification GMW14657.” The pre-applied fastener adhesive Precote 85 provides locking for automotive applications such as power train and other high-stressed threaded bolts with controlled friction.
Nylok, founded in 1942, has received more than 150 patents and has provided adhesives for everything from NASA applications to a shoe manufacturer to adjust the sound of shoe taps for Lord of the Dance.
