Independently source items from manufacturers and distributors for domestic purchases. Research/identify capable competitive suppliers to provide timely price quotes to customers. Work with manufacturing to quote inhouse items.

Responsibilities: Prepare, process and manage RFQs; analyze supplier quotes; negotiate pricing and delivery; ensure timely processing of quotes; forge relationships with existing and new suppliers; research and identify qualified suppliers; maintain supplier database; problem solving on engineering, pricing, quality and delivery issues; collect and define requirements for procurement; work with factory personnel for quotes; communicate with suppliers, shop personnel and sales; and procurement oversight for domestic items.

Skills: Detail-oriented, organized and efficient; effective oral and written communication; strong project management, interpersonal skills; flexibility & prioritization skills; work both independently and in a team; communicate via phone/E-Mail/Fax; PC proficiency in Microsoft; Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.

Requirements: 5 years experience in domestic fastener procurement and knowledge of cold heading processes, fastener specifications and standards; automotive experience preferred.
