Ingersoll Fasteners Reaches Agreement To Remain Open

The Ingersoll Fasteners plant in Ontario, Canada, will continue operations, Ifastgroupe president Darren Dalgleish announced.
He said Ifastgroupe has “actively” worked to reach an arrangement with customers, employees and suppliers of the facility in order to remain open. No service disruptions are expected.
“Economic dynamics and volatility of raw material costs continue to be at the center of our focus and major issues,” Dalgleish noted.
Dalgleish said Ingersoll will continue to focus on improving its cost structure; catering to small lot fastener production; offer a wider range of “manufactured and internationally sourced” fastener products; and increase sales coverage for North America.
After becoming Ifastgoupe president last year, Dalgleish unveiled a new corporate-wide marketing strategy to forge a common focus for all the company’s businesses: Infasco. Ingersoll Fasteners. Infasco Nut, Ifastgroupe Distribution (Distributor Sales), Galvano.
Dalgleish joined Ifastgroupe in 2006 as vice president for operations and new product development. He spent most of his first year at the Ingersoll Fasteners and Infasco Nut facilities.
Ifastgroupe operations, which employ 950, have an annual capacity of 175,000 tons.
