Asia Fastener Show Visitors Urged to Apply for China Visas Early
John Wolz
Trade show visitors for the inaugural Asia Fastener are being urged to apply for visas early. With more than half a million people are expected to visit Beijing in August for the 2008 Summer Olympic Games and thousands in September for the 2008 Paralympic Games, the time needed for processing entry visas to China may be longer than usual.
Asia Fastener, a trade fair for fasteners, components, parts and related production technology, will be held September 24-26, 2008, at the Guangzhou International Convention & Exhibition Centre.
Show organizer Messe Frankfurt is offering visitors an invitation letter to submit with their visa application to demonstrate the purpose for visiting China
Guangzhou is located in the Guangdong province in southern China, the hub of China’s manufacturing industry. Currently there are nearly 2,500 fastener producers operating in Guangdong, producing one-third of the country’s total output. Messe Frankfurt notes that China is now the largest fastener producer in the world, with more than 7,000 fastener manufacturers with sales totaling US$7 billion for 2007. China’s fastener consumption is increasing at an annual rate of 18%.
Asia Fastener includes a manufacturing technology platform where exhibitors will offer manufacturing equipment, inspection machines, tooling and dies, and materials aimed at manufacturers of fasteners and similar parts.
