Brighton-Best International reportedly is adding 70,000 sq ft to its distribution center in Strongsville, OH. The project will allow Brighton-Best to carry deeper inventory and add about 25 new product lines, Manufacturing & Technology Journal reports.
“This expansion is just overdue,” said Steve Andrasik, national accounts manager. “We’ll fill a void in the market with some of the lines.”
Brighton-Best has an existing 38,000 sq ft warehouse in Strongsville. The expansion project is expected to be complete by December.
Andrasik said the company is expanding its sites “all over the country.”
Brighton-Best was purchased in January by Ta Chen International, a Taiwanese consortium, for more than $90 million.
Atlanta-based Brighton-Best opened in 1925 in a Cincinnati storefront and now has 34 distribution centers worldwide supplying inch and metric alloy and stainless socket screws to more than 6,000 distributors. Web: brightonbest.com 2008 FastenerNews.com
