OBITUARY: Steve Cearlock

Steve Cearlock, 45, who started in the fastener business in 1978 with ITW Shakeproof, died March 11 in Statesville, NC, of a heart attack.
He joined Southern Fastening Systems in 1989 as manager of manufacturing engineers. Cearlock and two other ex-Southern employees started Southern Screw Products in 1990 after Southern Fastening broke up. He held positions of vice president and president of the Southern Screw until it closed in 1999.
