The National Fastener Distributors Association will mark its 40th anniversary during its spring meeting in Arizona. There will be speakers on key management practices, sales, employee generation gaps and the economy for the next two years.

Established in 1968, the NFDA has more than 200 members. Anniversary commemorations will be held throughout the April 9-12, 2008, meeting at the Camelback Inn in Scottsdale, AZ.

“We look forward to commemorating such an important milestone in our Association’s history,” commented NFDA president Joel Roseman of Arnold Industries. “To have 40 years behind us is a true legacy and to be able to reflect on that journey at our annual spring meeting is going to be incredibly exciting.”

Keynoter speaker Joe Calhoon of Priority Advantage will discuss how a handful of management practices out of hundreds taught to business leaders really matter to the success of a company. Calhoon, once named National Management Coordinator of the Year and Outstanding Young Man in America, has started 20 businesses.

Economist Brian Beaulieu of the Institute for Trend Research will discuss sluggish economic growth for 2008, a general business cycle downturn for 2009 and into 2010 and which markets will fare better.

In a session titled “Winners or Whiners? How to Create a Success Culture Within the Sales Force,” Landy Chase will discuss employee motivation and give benchmarks for management style and its impact on the workplace.

Meagan Johnson will speak on how to attract, train, market, manage and retain employees from the current four generations in the workplace.
