FIEG’s Fastener Quality Session With Greenslade & Hebert Added to Southwestern Spring Program

The Southwestern Fastener Expo added a presentation by the Fastener Industry Education Group to its spring conference schedule.
The spring conference will be March 27-29, 2008 at the Marriott Westchase in Houston. SFA’s biennual Southwestern Fastener Expo will be on Saturday, March 29.
Joe Greenslade, the Industrial Fastener Institute’s director of engineering, and Jay Hebert of Porteous Fastener Company will speak on the “proper designation and use of standards by end users and suppliers is critical to fastener quality.”
Previously announced conference sessions are: Exotic Metals & Heat Treating, Michael Bosch, quality manager and technical director, Earle M. Jorgensen Co.; Industrial Maintenance Sales Matrix, Jack Zenor,, Powers Fasteners; Print Reading 101, Robert Schneider,, mechanical engineer, TSP-VA; and Knowing the Right Drill Bit for the Job, John Hodges,, Drillco Cutting Tools.
The conference also features Bruce Darling, of Porteous Fastener speaking on “Understanding Current Market Conditions,” which opens with a Thursday evening reception.
