TriMas Finalizes Lake Erie Sale

TriMas Corp. finalized the sale of Lake Erie Products in two separate transactions.
The Italy-based Fontana Group acquired the large-diameter industrial headed fastener business based primarily in Frankfort, IN.
Lake Erie’s small-diameter fastener business in Wood Dale, IL, was bought by Holbrook Mfg. in Wheeling, IL. Web: holbrookinc.com
TriMas has reported the Lake Erie Products business as a discontinued operation in its financial statements since the fourth quarter of 2005.
Lake Erie was founded in 1946 by John Wasmer Sr. In 1986 Lake Erie was sold to form TriMas Corp., which eventually became part of Heartland Industrial Partners.
