ILS Acquires NABS

Integrated Logistics Solutions acquired New York-based fastener distributor NABS Inc. ILS, a subsidiary of Park-Ohio Holdings Corp., reported NABS has five domestic and 14 international locations and sales of $45 million in supplying the computer, electronics and consumer products industries.
Park-Ohio CEO Edward Crawford said NABS “will fast forward our supply chain management business worldwide. The combination of a world-class management team and the addition of a blue chip customer base will dramatically accelerate ILS’ long term international strategy.”
NABS was founded by Jack Laufer in 1953 as North American Bolt & Screw Co., NABS supplies fasteners and C Class components to the computer and electronics industries from 19 global locations. Park-Ohio sales grew 15.3% to $932.8 million in 2005
Park-Ohio s Integrated Logistics Solutions provides logistics services for 175,000 production components, including fasteners, to OEMs, other manufacturers and distributors. ILS also engineers and manufactures precision cold formed and cold extruded products, including locknuts, SPAC nuts and wheel hardware.
ILS sales grew 18% to $532.6 million, while income increased 19% to $34.8 million
Park-Ohio entered the fastener business in 1995 by acquiring RB&W. Subsequent fastener acquisitions included Arden Industrial Products Inc., Arcon Fastener Corp., Delo Screw Products Co., Direct Fasteners, Gateway Industrial Supply and Columbia Nut & Bolt Corp. and Purchased Parts Group Inc.
