Fastener Profit Rises for Black & Decker

Sales in Black & Decker’s Fastening and Assembly Systems segment decreased 1% to $159.1 million during the third quarter of 2006, slowed by weakness in the domestic automotive industry. Fastener profit for Q3 grew 9.2% to $22.6 million.
Fastener revenue during the first nine months of 2006 increased 2% to $502.7 million, while profit rose 8.6% to $72.8 million.
