The Mid-West Fastener Association will mark its 60th anniversary as an association, the 25th year of its trade show and hold its 54th golf outing June 12-13, 2006.
The Mid-West Fastener Expo will be 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, June 12, followed by the annual “fastener bash” at Sheraton Chicago Northwest in Arlington Heights, IL. The golf outing will follow on Tuesday in Mt. Prospect, IL.
The Mid-West Fastener Expo will honor 25-year exhibitors at a Monday luncheon: Abbott-Interfast Corp., Big Bolt Corp., Brico Industries Inc., Brighton-Best Socket Screw Mfg. Inc., Continental-Aero, Fastener Industry News, Metric & Multistandard Components Corp. and XL Screw Corp.
The 2006 expo will be “reminiscent of the association’s original tabletop show offering,” M-WFA executive director Nancy Rich said. M-WFA was then known as the Chicago Bolt, Nut & Screw Association and the expo was the “Chicago Fastener Show.”
Registration to attend the 2006 trade show is free until May 15 and $15 after that date. There will be an informal outing at the Arlington International Race Track Sunday afternoon.
