STAFDA Reports Convention Advance Numbers Up

The Specialty Tools & Fasteners Distributors Association has 810 booths sold for its November 6-8, 2005, convention in Baltimore. The record had been 758.

Executive director Georgia Foley reported attendee registration is running 6% ahead of the 2004 convention.

Former Secretary of State Colin Powell will be the keynote speaker All convention participants are welcome with no extra charge for the Powell speech.
Ed Gericke, senior vice president of sales & marketing at Werner Co. , will present the associate state-of-the-industry address and
STAFDA president Marshall Jones of Roanoke, VA-based Marco Supply Co. will give the distributors state-of-the-industry address.
The schedule also includes a variety of workshops, rap sessions for different membership groups, technical and consultants fair and receptions.
STAFDA mailed a CD to all registrants for the 29th annual convention. The CD provides information on show specials, prize drawings, new products and exhibitor brochures and is compatible with all operating systems and browsers.
