STAFDA Registration Up 13% for 2004 Convention

Booth sales and show registration are outpacing last year for the 28th annual convention of the Specialty Tools & Fasteners Distributions Association.
The convention set for November 14-16, 2004, in San Francisco.
As of August 10, STAFDA reported that at 488 booth sales were at a faster pace than 2003. Total registration is up 13% over this time last year.
Nearly a quarter of the 2004 exhibitors thus far did not have booths last year.
Futurist Lowell Catlett is the keynote speaker. Workshop presenters include last year”s keynote speaker, Frank Abagnale, teaching how to prevent embezzlement, forgery, counterfeit currency, check fraud, identity theft and Internet fraud. Abagnale was the subject of Stephen Spielberg”s move, “Catch Me If You Can.”
Marketing professor Roger Blackwell will speak on “Brands that Rock”; author Marjorie Bordy will speak on “Present Like a Pro”;
