Earnest Machine Products Company promoted Paul Lane to sales manager for the Midwest division in Davenport, IA. Lane joined Earnest in 1986 and has been assistant sales manager for five years.
Eric Mumford, an Earnest sales rep since 1987, succeeds Lane. Steve Lubben, a sales rep since 1997, is the new regional vendor-managed inventory sales manager.
COO Tim Dunn said the appointments reflect Earnests expansion in the market.

Fall River Manufacturing/Standard Nut & Bolt named Jim Speck as general manager of Standard Nut & Bolt, Dave Monti announced. Speck is a registered Professional Engineer and laboratory accreditation auditor. He previously was vice president of engineering and marketing at Crescent Manufacturing and product manager/engineer for Holo-Krome Company (now Danaher Tool Group). Fall River, a cold-heading manufacturer, acquired Cumberland, RI-based Standard, a manufacturer of specialty hot forged fasteners, last year.
