Acquisitions Boost ITW Revenue

Illinois Tool Works Inc. reported operating revenue for the three months ended Oct. 31 rose 7%, helped by acquisitions and currency translation as well as better market activity in some North American businesses. Acquisitions boosted the company’s operating revenue 4% and currency translation accounted for another 4% increase for the most recent three months, while the company’s base business hurt revenue for the period by about 1%.
