Barton Cold-Form Improves Turnover
Jason Sandefur
Barton Cold-Form Ltd. nearly doubled its turnover to 6.8 million pounds (US$7.55 million) since 2000, according to Newsquest Media Group. The Worcester, UK-based manufacturer of special cold forged fasteners achieved the gain through capital investment of more than 2 million pounds to purchase new equipment. One new piece of equipment is a multi-die heading machine that produces 180 pieces per minute.
Managing director Paul Denning told Newsquest that his firm has done well in a weak economy by expanding its staff and services.
If theres recession coming, dont baton down the hatches get out there, employ sales staff and give customers more than theyre expecting.
Barton exports its products to China, South Africa, Spain, Portugal, France and Germany. Web: bartoncoldform.co.uk 2003 FastenerNews.com
