Heads & Threads Moves to Chicago
Jason Sandefur
Heads & Threads International is moving its headquarters from New Jersey to greater Chicago. HTIs Mike Wren said the master distributor and importer has just signed the lease for a 10,000 sq ft office in Bloomingdale, IL, and has begun relocating.
We expect to be moved by mid-September, Wren told FIN.
Wren described the move as a strategic relocation to the traditional home of the fastener industry. HTI had operated a corporate office in Sayreville, NJ, since 2000.
Parent company Alleghany Corp. recorded a $1.1 million charge during the second quarter of 2003 related to changes in senior management and the relocation. Greg Brown replaced Don Haggerty as CEO of HTI in April 2003. HTI celebrated its 50th anniversary earlier this year.
The new corporate address is 255 East Lake St., Bloomingdale, IL 60108. Web: headsandthreads.com 2003 FastenerNews.com
