Precision Castparts Posts Losses

Precision Castparts Corp. reported sales from the first quarter of fiscal 2004 declined 16.9% to $481.7 million, while net income from continuing operations fell 18.4% to $34.5 million. Portland, OR-based PCC noted continued weakness in aerospace and industrial turbine markets. PCC supplies structural and airfoil components for the aerospace and industrial gas turbine industries, as well as dies and header tooling for fastener manufacturers.
