Fasteners Improve B/E Aerospace Q1 Results
Jason Sandefur
B/E Aerospace Inc. reported fastener sales outperformed the rest of the company in the first quarter of 2003, improving 14% to $25.7 million. Overall, B/E Aerospace net sales for Q1 rose 6% to $154.7 million, but the Wellington, FL-based company posted a $10.8 million loss compared to a loss of 5.9 million in the first quarter of 2002.
CEO Robert Khoury stated that annualized sales have been reduced by 30% since September 2001, and predicted the ongoing military operation in Iraq and the spread of SARS would continue to hurt international travel. Web: beaerospace.com 2003 FastenerNews.com
