Danaher Corporation announced fourth quarter 2002 sales rose 39% over the same period a year before to $$1.2 billion. Net earnings for the fourth quarter of 2002 rose 27% to $124.4 million.
Sales for the full year increased 21% to $3.8 billion and net earnings slipped $7.3 million to $290.4 million.
CEO Lawrence Culp attributed sales growth “primarily to new acquisitions, but also due to a 3.5% core volume increase. Danaher�s process/environmental controls segment gained sales, but the tools and components declined.
