Barnes Acquires Kar Products

Barnes Group Inc. announced an agreement to acquire MRO distributor Kar Products.
Kar will become a part of Barnes Distribution
Barnes CEO Edmund Carpenter said Des Plaines, IL-based Kar “expands our geographic and product line reach.”
Barnes Distribution president Keith Drewett said the acquisition will put Barnes in the top 20 industrial distribution companies in North America with annual sales of $340 million.
It is the eighth acquisition for Barnes since late 1999. In two years Barnes Distribution has acquired Bowman, Mechanics Choice, Curtis and Raymond brands. �2003 FastenerNews.com
