Ballys.com Hotel Rate Drops to $49 During Las Vegas Fastener Show
John Wolz
The online rate for the general public at Ballys Hotel dropped to $49 per night after Ballys.com lowered its fastener show rates for the 2002 National Industrial Fastener Show/West to $99.
The pretax rate for Tuesday through Thursday nights (arriving November 19 and departing November 22) now totals $147 by registering at ballys.com.
Prices are subject to change.
Show management had negotiated a reduction from $152 to $99 ($456 for the three nights to $297).
The $49 rate represents a $309 savings from the original fastener rate and the savings could boost attendance at the sixth annual distributor-oriented western regional show.
Show management negotiated a lower room rate at the connecting Paris Hotel from $172 per night to $139.
Show participants who have already registered at higher prices must contact the hotel in advance for the new fastener rate. Paris can be contacted at 888 266-5687 or 702 967-3836 and Ballys at 800 833-3308 or 702 739-4111. Or they can cancel their reservations and rebook at ballys.com.
The official fastener rate decrease came after an article in the September 10, 2002, Fastener Industry News on “How to Cut Costs at Las Vegas,” showed Ballys rooms were cheaper by registering online at ballys.com.
“We welcome this substantial drop in rates as a significant cost savings for our attendees and exhibitors alike, and are grateful to the management of Paris and Ballys for working with us to help maximize participation in our event,” general manager Gloria Crase said.
The show will be November 21-22, 2002, at the Paris Hotel in Las Vegas. The Hall of Fame luncheon, conferences and opening reception will be on November 20.
The deadline for registering to attend at the $30 advance discount price is October 19 ($50 later). E-mail: nifswest@fastenershows.com Web: fastenershows.com 2002 FastenerNews.com
