Würth Founder Reinhold Würth Turning 80
FEATURE
In a 1997 interview with Fastener Industry News, fastener billionaire Reinhold Würth advised young people entering the industry to go out selling.
“The profession of being a salesperson is most fascinating,” Würth told FIN. “It is unbelievable the different characters you meet. You see all kinds of species of God’s garden. Sales is very, very interesting.”
Even as his company achieved multinational status, Würth continued to make sales calls with his salespeople. Würth told FIN it keeps him motivated and in touch with customers.
Würth’s enthusiasm for sales explains the corporation having half of its employees in sales.
Reinhold Würth turns 80 on April 20.
