Suppliers from India, China Increase Internet Use

Ralph Nissen of tradeSys.com, an Internet fastener trading portal, reports the number of fastener suppliers from India is up 115% this year and Chinese sources have grown 25%.
Nissen speculated that more affordable Internet access is encouraging the increase.
Overall geographic distribution remains constant at about 75% North America, 10% Asian and 8% European. The balance is a mix of Africa, South and Central America, Australia and Russia.
Nissen reported Rockland, Ontario-based tradeSys.com has gained approximately 2,000 users this year and there are now about 8,000 users from 107 countries.
Companies from 25 European nations have registered on tradeSys, with about 30% from the UK.
“The number of companies from Eastern Europe registering remains steady, although quite small in number,” Nissen said.
South Africa is the primary source of registration from Africa.
Nissen is second generation in the fastener business. His father, Peter Nissen, founded Nissen Industrial Fasteners in Montreal in 1961 and his brothers remain active in the distributorship.
