OBITUARY: Robert Brown

Former Chicago Rivet & Machine Co. president Robert Brown, 80, died Friday, Sept. 13, of an apparent heart attack at his home in Palatine, IL. Brown joined the company in 1960 and served as manager, treasurer and CFO before being named president in 1977. He was elected to Chicago Rivet�s board in 1982 and retired as president in 1987. Brown remained an active member of the board until 1999. Survivors include his wife, Helen; sons Lawrence and Brian; daughter Patricia; and nine grandchildren. The family requests memorial masses in lieu of flowers.
