1991 FIN – New York’s Allmetal Acquires ESKA of Germany
September 16, 1991 FIN – Allmetal B.V., the parent company of Allmetal Screw Products Corp., Edgewood, New York, has made a major acquisition in Germany through the purchase of the ESKA Group of companies with the combined capacity in threaded fasteners of 4,000 tons per month.
The range of products is from 4mm diameter to 24mm in cold formed hexagon cap screws, socket caps, flange bolts, structural bolts as well as a parts to customer drawings. The group’s capacity also includes a strong capability to produce standard and special nuts, both cold and hot formed up to 36mm diameter.
William Campbell, vice president of Allmetal Screw Products Corp., told FIN that since the acquisition date, the ESKA group has acquired three Formax National machines to meet the requirements of the European automotive manufacturers needs. The Eska Group currently enjoys the quality assurance approval from the automotive manufacturers in Europe and is currently seeking accreditation from A2LA to further promote its marketing plan.
The acquisition also includes a wire processing facility with a capability of drawing and processing wire from 2mm to 27mm diameter of 120,000 tons per annum.
