Cardinal Rebuilds 600-Ton Hot Forging Upsetter
Cardinal Fasteners also announced it has rebuilt a 600-ton Ajax hot forging upsetter for large bolts and structural fasteners. The equipment produces parts up to 3” diameters and unlimited lengths and its throat opening provides easy access to the dies and a loading height to increase hourly throughput for cost economy.
Cardinal stocks a variety of large diameter raw materials, including carbon, alloy and stainless plus high temperature alloys.
The rebuilding is part of a long-term plan to upgrade and expand Cardinal’s equipment.
Cardinal Fastener manufactures hex bolts, heavy hex structural bolts, socket head cap screws, square head and 12 point fasteners, hex flange, shoulder screws, studs and specialty parts and has an onsite test lab.
