Metropolitan Taps Rich as Executive Director

The Metropolitan Fastener Distributors Association named Nancy Rich as executive director. Rich now directs three regional fastener associations.
Rich became the first full-time executive director of the Chicago Bolt, Nut & Screw Association in 1984. CBNSA became the Mid-West Fastener Association in 2004.
She was named executive director of the Southeastern Fastener Association in 2011.
Rich continues her MWFA and SEFA roles while adding the New York area association.
She succeeds MFDA administrator Nancy Montesano.
MFDA president Jay Minichino of BMB Fasteners said the board is “confident her strong role in the fastener industry will serve our association well.”
Founded in 1963, MFDA has 62 member companies. Marilynn Efron of Fastbolt Corporation is 1st vice president and Kellie Nirmaier of Kanebridge Corporation is 2nd vice president.
The 2014 schedule includes the association’s annual economic forecast program, January 21; scholarship awards dinner, June 10; golf outing, September 21; table top Show, September 22; and the 15th annual Toys-for-Tots / holiday dinner is tentatively scheduled for December 9.
