Fastenal Benefits From Rise in U.S. Manufacturing
Fastenal reported November sales rose 3.1% to $261.3 million, with daily sales climbing 8.2% to $13.1 million during the month.
Since January Fastenal daily sales have increased 4.6% to an average of $12.5 million.
November sales to manufacturing customers grew 8.7% and non-residential construction customers increased 4.4%.
Total employee headcount rose 12.1% to 17,189, boosted by a 12.4% increase in non-store selling personnel; a 6.9% increase in distribution personnel; and an 6.5% increase in manufacturing personnel.
During November Fastenal opened one new store, compared to four in November 2012. The company’s total store count stands at 2,689.
In October Fastenal sales grew 7.7% to $310.9 million, with daily sales up 7.7% to $13.52 million. ©2013 GlobalFastenerNews.com
