2010 FIN – International Show Organizer Mack Brooks Acquires Fastener Fair

February 2, 2010 FIN – International show organizer Mack Brooks Exhibitions Group acquired the entire shareholding of Fastener Fairs Limited – including the world’s largest fastener trade show – Fastener Fair Stuttgart – and Fastener+Fixing magazine.
In 2009 Fastener Fair Stuttgart drew 625 exhibiting companies totaling the equivalent of 1,076 10×10 booths and 5,993 people from 70 countries.
The next show will be February 22-24, 2011, at Messe Stuttgart in Germany.
Fastener Fair also conducts Fastener Fair Budapest.
Fastener+Fixing magazine claims readership by 30,000 fastener professionals worldwide.
Jerry Ramsdale, who founded Fastener Fair in 1995, commented “there is no easy time to
part with something that has been central to your life for so many years. However, it was clear that the exceptional growth of both the Fastener Fair and Fastener+Fixing magazine had taken the existing business close to its limits. Now, with the experience and resources of a much larger exhibition organiser it is guaranteed that Fastener Fair will be further developed as the world’s leading fastener industry event.”
Ramsdale will take an advisory role in Mack Brooks.

The privately owned Mack Brooks Exhibitions Group has specialized in organizing international trade events worldwide since 1969.
