Obituary: MS Inserts & Fasteners Founder Douglas Duncan
Douglas Robert Duncan, 89, a founder of MS Inserts & Fasteners Corporation, died September 25, 2012.
Born in London, after World War II he began in accounting firm in England and later moved to Montreal, Canada, to be assistant sales manager for Steel Company of Canada. In 1963 he was hired by Newton Insert Co. and in 1969 by Tridair Industries. He became a partner in Bar Automatics in 1969 and Rush Associates in 1970.
In 1971 Douglas and his son Robert Duncan, founded MS Inserts. He remained active in the company now located in Torrance, CA.
Survivors include son Robert James Duncan. Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, October 5, 2012, at Rice Mortuary Torrance. Web: lafuneral.com
