The Würth Group named Benjamin Würth as deputy chairman of the Supervisory Board.
Longtime patriarch Reinhold Würth, 87, will remain chairman. His daughter, Bettina Würth, will join the Supervisory Board.
Bettina Würth will hand over the chair of the Advisory Board to Sebastian Würth and will become honorary chairperson of the Advisory Board alongside Reinhold Würth, effective January 1, 2025.
Maria Würth, who is already a board member of the Würth Foundation, will to take over the management of the Würth Group’s art and culture activities when C. Sylvia Weber retires in 2025.
“Although enjoying the best of health, Reinhold Würth has now reached the age of 87 years,” the group stated. “These decisions ensure the Würth Group’s unchanged continuity in terms of objectives, working style and corporate culture in the future after (his) passing.”
Würth Group was founded in 1945 by Adolf Würth. Following his death in 1954, his 19-year-old son Reinhold took over the company, transforming it over the decades into an EUR 17.1 billion global fastener conglomerate employing more than 84,000 workers in 400 companies across 80 countries.
In 2006, Betina Würth assumed control of the Advisory Board. Web: Wurth.com
