FEATURE
There are 26 fastener trade shows scheduled around the world for 2015, beginning with the March 10-12 Fastener Fair Stuttgart.
Shows listed in the Trade Shows section of GlobalFastenerNews.com and in the 2015 FIN Calendar are in Germany, Russia, United Kingdom, India, Australia, United Arab Emirates, China, Japan, Indonesia, Korea, Brazil and Taiwan.
U.S. fastener trade shows for 2015 are scheduled in Tennessee, California, Illinois, Connecticut, Nevada and Arizona.
By most measures, Fastener Fair Stuttgart is the world’s largest fastener trade show. Founded as a UK trade show in 1995, the Stuttgart version of Fastener Fair outgrew the National Industrial Fastener & Mill Supply Expo in Las Vegas in 2009.
This year the National Fastener Distributors Association of the U.S. has reserved a hotel in Stuttgart and arranged a tour of the Würth Group’s headquarters in Germany.
The oldest fastener trade show will be marking its 35th anniversary this year. First held in 1981, in Columbus, Ohio, the 2015 National Industrial Fastener & Mill Supply Expo will be held October 21-23 in Las Vegas.
For advance planning, the Trade Shows section currently lists 16 trade shows in 2016 and two for 2017. More trade shows will be added as announced.
The 2015 FIN Calendar lists 91 fastener meetings, trade shows and events for the coming year. The information section of the FIN Calendar describes 16 North American fastener organizations, eight technical organizations and 29 trade show sponsors. It also lists 40 fastener association websites and 22 related organization websites.
This year is the 20th FIN Calendar, which started with 1996. The newsletter has been published since 1979.
Sponsors for 2015 are Copper State Bolt & Nut, Nucor Fastener, Brighton-Best International, Tortoise Fastener Co., Star Stainless Screw Co., Ken Forging, ND Industries/Vibra-Tite, Darling Bolt Company, XL Screw Corporation, INxSQL Software, Unbrako, Rotor Clip and Elgin Fastener Group.
