2016 NIFMSE Registration Discount Deadlines Next Week
The deadline for the advance discount to attend the 2016 National Industrial Fastener & Mill Supply Expo is this week. Registration is $45 until Friday, August 19; then $55 until October 14; and $65 from October 15.
NIFMSE will be October 25-27, 2016, at the Sands Expo & Convention Center in Las Vegas. Conference sessions and a poolside opening reception are on Tuesday and the trade show is open 9am to 4pm Wednesday and 9am to 1pm on Thursday. There also will be seminars on the trade show floor.
• The 2016 trade show will set a record of number of booths. Show director Susan Hurley reports 719 companies in 940 booths thus far – already easily topping the 829 record set last year.
• The 36th annual show will be the first under the ownership of Emerald Expositions LLC, which acquired NIFMSE after the 2015 trade show. Emerald operates more than 50 U.S. business-to-business trade shows plus face-to-face events in total, including conferences, summits and other events.
Emerald executives, led by executive VP Karolyn Sprouse, have emphasized the trade show company understands the difference between the “total number attending” and “quality attendees.”
Emerald has been emphasizing that beyond traditional CEOs, purchasing staff and engineers are invited.
Emerald has announced two new programs to encourage distributor attendance:
• “BYOD” or “Bring Your Own Distributor” allows exhibitors to nominate distributors they want to see at show but they have not previously attended. Exhibitors can nominate unlimited distributorships for free admission plus two-nights at the Venetian Hotel.
• NIFMSE is working with Feathr, a B2B trade marketing platform, for exhibitors to have their own landing pages and offer their customers half off registration to attend. The program is designed specifically for exhibitors to invite customers to visit their booth.
Emerald earlier announced a “Rising Star” program for distributors registered to attend to nominate a colleague employed within the same company or within the fastener industry to accompany them. The “Rising Star” receives free hotel and trade show registration. Emerald also has a program with Young Fastener Professionals offering a free trip and admission for 10 individuals who have never been to the trade show.
