2008 FIN – Roberts Sells Falcon Metal to Nowak
February 1, 2008 FIN – Don Nowak acquired the stock of Falcon Metal Corp. from Bruce Roberts.
Nowak has been operating as Falcon’s vice president for 10 years.
Roberts founded the Charlotte, NC-based Falcon Metal in 1979. Roberts started in the fastener industry in 1964 with B&G Mfg. Co. of Hatfield, PA, and advanced to general manager. In 1977 he became general manager of Watson Metal of Kenilworth, NJ. Roberts was the 1992 president of the National Fastener Distributors Association and was a member of the Southeastern Fastener Association board.
While president of NFDA he helped establish a fastener executive networking group to share best practices and solve common problems.

Industry veteran Nowak joined Falcon in 1997 from Hoyt Fasteners in Chicago. Nowak was twice president of the Chicago Bolt, Nut & Screw Association (now Mid-West Fastener Association).
Falcon Metal distributes fasteners and class C production components and provides inventory management to the OEM market. Falcon Metal operates from its Charlotte headquarters, as well as from plant branch operations with major customers.
