1991 FIN – Unbrako Division Introduces CAD Library
August 15, 1991 FIN – SPS Technologies’ Unbrako division in Fort Washington, Pennsylvania, has introduced a computer aided design (CAD) library, that gives design engineers, who are already using CAD, quick access to two-dimensional orthographic views, to scale, of all Unbrako standard inch-sized socket screws and related products.
The Unbrako CAD library is available on 3 ½” and 5 ¼” floppy discs, as well as on magnetic tape, for incorporation into Microcadam, Autocad or cadam software programs in PC and mainframe environments. A data exchange format neutral file is available for other systems.
The Unbrako CAD library is used in conjunction with a loose-leaf reference binder of product data and information sheets. The library includes nearly 500 computer models, in different sizes, of socket head cap screws, flat head socket screws, button head socket screws, socket set screws, dowel pins and hexagon keys. The library is available from: Unbrako Division, SPS Technologies, P.O. Box 288, Ft. Washington, PA 19034. ©1991/2015 Fastener Industry News.
