1991 FIN – MacLean-Fogg Adds Everlock Operation
April 17, 1991 FIN – MacLean-Fogg, Mundelein, Illinois, has acquired the assets of Everlock-Detroit, a part of Everlock Fastening Systems which has been downsizing since it filed for Chapter 11 earlier this year.
David Trendler, vice president and general manager at MacLean-Fogg, tells FIN that the Everlock-Detroit operations will be integrated into MacLean-Fogg’s manufacturing facility in Mundelein over the next four to six months. In the meantime, Garrett Tinsman, of MacLean-Fogg, has been heading up the operations in Detroit as interim general manager.
The addition of the Everlock-Detroit operation makes MacLean-Fogg the largest nut producer in the U.S. and possibly the largest in the world, says Trendler. The company is primarily a supplier to the automotive and trucking industries as well as others.
MacLean-Fogg is headed by Barry MacLean, president, who is the third generation of MacLeans to run the company since it’s founding in 1925. At manufacturing facilities in Mundelein and Savanna, Illinois, MacLean-Fogg also produces gear blanks and other specialty internally threaded products by using hot forging, cold forming, and cold extrusion process.
The company’s address is 1000 Allanson Rd. Mundelein, IL 60060. ©1991/2011 Fastener Industry News
