1990 FIN – Micro Plastics Expanding Plant
June 7, 1990 FIN – Micro Plastics Inc., Flippin, Arkansas, has broken ground for a 25,000 sq. ft. building to house new automated injection molding plant, which will use the latest molding technology, material handling equipment, and quality control techniques, according to the company.
In planning stages for the past year, according to Roy Hill, president, the new plant will allow the company to handle the increased number of new designs and orders coming in from around the world.
Hill told FIN the addition brings the company’s total manufacturing space to over 100,000 sq. ft.
Micro Plastics manufactures and distributes a variety of fasteners and parts from type 6/6 nylon. Product lines include standard and metric machine screws, cap screws, nuts, washers, grommets, spacers, insulators, threaded rods, rivets, hole plugs, p.c. board posts and others.
