1989 FIN – Hammer & Distributor Sales Planning Expansion
January 14, 1989 FIN – J. Hammer & Associates, Distributor Sales, Inc. and Distributor Sales S.E., Inc., which operate under the H&L Industries Group, will be making a number of expansions in the near future.
• Distributor Sales, Inc. will open a 90,000 sq. ft. warehouse and sales office during February in Mentor, Ohio (greater Cleveland), which will supply independent distributors in Ohio, Michigan, and western Pennsylvania. The warehouse will open on a two-shift basis, providing overnight shipments or customer pick-up.
Kevin Quinn, vice president sales for Distributor Sales, Inc. told FIN that the warehouse and sales office will support the company’s Kenilworth, New Jersey operations, which supply metro New York City, New Jersey, mid-Atlantic states, and New England. The new Mentor facility is located at 7800 Tyler Blvd., Mentor, OH 44060.
• Distributor Sales S.E., Inc., will open a new warehouse in Tampa, Florida by the end of January, which will be supported by the company’s Atlanta headquarters and also will offer overnight shipments and pick-up. Headed by Ron Sanders, vice president /sales, Distributor Sales S.E., Inc. is headquartered at 6205 Boat Rock Blvd., Atlanta, GA. 30336.
• J. Hammer & Associates (which is based in Elk Grove Village, Illinois), Distributor Sales, Inc., and Distributor Sales S.E., Inc., operate under the H&L Group of companies, which are headed by Joel Hammer and Sanford Leavitt.
All locations stock fasteners manufactured by the IFC Bolt and IFC Fastener Divisions of Ivaco, Inc. (of Canada), Aztec Washer Co. (which recently added stainless steel washers to its product lines), Aztec Industries, Agrati Corp. (of Italy), Medalist A-Model, Mag Metal Products, and the Reisser Corp.
The companies will also offer during the first part of 1989 product lines from Non-Ferrous Fasteners, Inc., a western European manufacturer of stainless steel fasteners, and CCY Fasteners, Inc., a Taiwanese manufacturer of steel and stainless steel fasteners and nylon insert locknuts. ©1989/2013 Fastener Industry News.
