The first FIN Calendar in 1996 listed 54 fastener dates.

The 2011 FIN Calendar was designed by Joe Barthlow of Eugene, OR.

The first FIN Calendar arrived as a surprise to FIN subscribers at the end of 1995. Except for advertisers and association leaders, few knew it was being published.
The 1996 FIN Calendar quickly drew compliments. “Congratulations on your absolutely outstanding fastener industry calendar,” wrote Carol McGuire, then the editor of American Fastener Journal. “What a great idea and you’ve done it so well. The information on the associations, events, trade shows and technical organizations is invaluable. The design and printing are first class. Mike and I wish you continued success.”

The 13-month 2011 FIN Calendar begins with December 2010 to allow immediate use.
